Joining the online based DJ Association - Member Benefits
Protecting and Promoting the Art of DJ'ing
The established sectors such as the acting profession and the music profession have single representation and legal representatives, however, the 'mobile DJ' profession which is very diverse, has no recognised representative voice on issues which have, or will have an impact.
Vision DJ Associates recognises that the mobile DJ sector must speak to organisations and government with one clear voice and in a language it understands. The value of the mobile DJ profession should be understood and recognised across all areas including the arts.
DJ Associates serves its members by providing them with the knowledge and opportunity to unite and speak up for their profession with one powerful voice.
Ultimately, DJ Associates aims to provide a united voice for its members in the mobile dj sector, standing as an independent organisation, representing members of all diversity across the UK.
Making a difference Member subscriptions will not only help the Association be an effective member focused organisation, but will also allow DJ Associates to collectively make a small but positive contribution to organisations such as Great Ormand Street Hospital.

Membership card Full Public Liability Insurance details including policy number and card holders photo are included on the members card. Members are encouraged to show their card to venues and provide photo-copies of the card for venue managers to keep on file.
The photo on the reverse of the card assures the client or venue that the card holder is registered as a holder of Public Liability Insurance to the sum of £10,000,000.
Rest assured, when either visiting a client for a face to face meeting, or when a venue asks for proof of liability insurance, full Public Liability Insurance details are included on the reverse of the membership ID card, along with the card holders photo and any other registration details as applicable.
Due to the recession and increase in the take-up of mobile DJ'ing, members are encouraged to show their card to venues and provide photo-copies of their card for venue managers to keep on file.
Registrations option Applicants have an option to include details of their other affiliations held at the time of application. This feature incurs a small fee per registration added. The full fee is £ 14.99 per registration.
For example, those that are a member of the FSB or SEDA or NADJ or WDJA etc will be able to include and promote on their membership card:
As from September 2009, the fee will be waivered to Full Members.
Written evidence is increasingly required by venues that the mobile DJ is covered with PLI and PAT before they can perform. With this in mind, the association provides an online Validator+ - once registered, simply add HTML code to your site which we supply. Venues and potential clients visiting your website can verify level of indemnity, Public Liability Insurance details, PAT details, additional services, media and licences in just one click.
The DJ@ website will be the information tool and resource for the association.
Public Liability Insurance Cover The PLI cover DJ@ includes with membership is £10 million per member. No separate registration is required!
Note: Public liability is not a legal requirement - but it makes sense to have the cover in the event of a claim!
