From September 2009, new
members of the DJ Associates DJ Association receive a new
plastic membership card with FULL DJ PUBLIC LIABILITY
INSURANCE DETAILS on the front and reverse of card:
To join the DJ Association,
members are required to complete an application form and
forward a digital photo (Passport style).
Successful applicants will be
contacted for payment.
Once the application process
is completed, DJ Association membership details including
membership number and Public Liability Insurance info are
forwarded electronically to the registered members email
address. Membership cards are forwarded via post
(recorded delivery).
History
DJ Associates was established
in 2005. The DJ Association started out as a free to
join association, encouraging likeminded individuals to
network and promote professionalism within the DJ sector.
The DJ Association remains
online based and operates as a non-profit organisation.
When the DJ Associates DJ
Association re-launched as a subscription based DJ
association in 2008, many great benefits were introduced
including DJ Public Liability Insurance.
DJ Association membership
cards included DJ Public Liability Insurance details on the
reverse of the membership card along with registrations.

Whilst the introduction of
photo ID cards were innovative, the production costs were
extremely high.
For the 09/10 memberships, the
'ID' function of the membership card has been switched to an
innovative online virtual ID card, where registered members
of the DJ Association can add 'Validator+' to their business
website.
