Criteria of membership and Terms

The criteria of membership is set by DJ Associates Association. See Terms.

Successful applicants agree to comply with requests from the DJ Associates Association.

Successful applicants agree to to submit copies of documentation on request by DJ Associates and will surrender issued membership card on request.

Digital Photo

A recent Passport style digital photo is required by the DJ Associates Association (preferably full size digital photo - we'll crop down to size).

Poor quality / blurred / photos deemed inappropriate will be declined.

Here is a guide on how to attach a digital photo to email. Please forward your digital photo after you have submitted your application form to adminteam@djassociates.org

P.A.T. - Portable Appliance Test

Proof and copies of P.A.T. is not a requirement of membership. Please note: All members are encouraged to cooperate with venue requirements which may include request of your Portable Appliance Test.

Promotional Code Box on Application Form

The promotional code box at the end of the application form is to indicate what type of membership you require.

For example, if you wish to become a full member, please state 'FULL MEMBERSHIP' in the promotion code box (at the end of the form).

Application form - What happens after form submission?

Once the application form has been sent, you will need to forward a passport style photo to complete your application. Please forward a decent resolution sized photo to adminteam@djassociates.org

The application will be processed.

Applicants will be notified if their application has been rejected. Successful applicants are notified by email.

Note: Correctly completed application and criteria received after 6.00pm will be processed the following day (Mon - Fri).

Successful applications - what happens next?

All successful applicants are notified by email with payment request details and request date. Once acknowledged, the payment request will then be forwarded by email via the preferred secure online service 'NOCHEX'.

How to make payment

The online application process is straight forward.

DJ Associates offers a variety of payment options online via a secure online payment service.

For security, the https and 'padlock' indicate a SSL encrypted payment platform.

The DJ Associates Association does not request any credit card or payment information using its website form. All payments are taken care of using the 'NOCHEX' facility, which is a third party payment platform which uses SSL. At no time during any transaction are DJ Associates disclosed details of applicant credit card information, as this is all handled transparently by NOCHEX.

Note: The following variety of cards are accepted for online secure payment with NOCHEX.

Email notification of payment/s is sent automatically from the NOCHEX servers. Payment information is only available to the card issuer and its client, 'DJ@' is unable to obtain or request such information.

When making payments, visitors are also reminded that payments which are made by credit card online are subject to some levels of insurance (depending on the card issuer), thus in most cases there is very little risk to the card holder in the event of a dispute or service not being as described, and this still remains a much safer way to pay as opposed to more traditional methods such as cash and cheque, which have no transaction protection whatsoever.

What happens after the payment transaction?

Once payment has been successfully made, members will receive electronically via email:

a registration membership number
a .pdf copy of the associations PLI Certificate
the policy summary
details for online 'Validator+' - note: website required
website resource access

Please read the email carefully and acknowledge that you have received immediately to complete the membership process.

Membership Cards - Full Members

The 2009/2010 Full Members Membership card details:

-Member Name

-Membership Number

-Renewal Date

-FULL Public Liability Insurance details

Once the application has been successfully processed, membership cards are dispatched by 1st Class Royal Mail. Please allow time for delivery.

Full Membership

Full membership is ideal for those who wish to become a registered member and take advantage of Full Public Liability Insurance Cover, 'Validator+' and benefits.

For 'Full Membership', please fill in the online application form and add 'FULL MEMBERSHIP' in the promotion code box (at the end of the form). Please follow the instructions after you submit the form.

Please note: Approved Full Members are covered for full membership benefits (inc U21).

Affiliate membership - from £20.00 (excluding online transaction surcharge)

Ideal for those who already benefit from holding Public Liability Insurance, are members of other DJ Associations, the Musicians Union or Equity, etc, but wish to become registered with the DJ Association and take advantage of 'Validator+' features and benefits.

For affiliate membership, please fill in the online application form and add 'AFFILIATE' in the promotion code box (at the end of the form). Please follow the instructions after you submit the form.

Please note: Approved Affiliate members are not covered for full membership benefits.

Ideal for those who wish to sample association membership.

Subscription

The current subscription term commenced 1st September 2009 and will end 31st August 2010.

Full Membership from 1st September is from £75.00.

Membership subscription (applications during the subscription term) is proportionally calculated for the remainder of the subscription term.
